Audi has launched the 2015 TT coupe in India at a price of Rs. 60.34 lakh (ex showroom Delhi and Mumbai). This is the third generation of the sportscar and will be imported and sold as a CBU. The first generation TT was launched globally in 1998.

The new TT coupe is based on the MQB platform which uses a lot of aluminium. This has made the new car lighter by 50 kg than the outgoing model. Power for the new TT comes from a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder turbo petrol motor that puts out 227 bhp and 370 Nm of torque. Thanks to Audi’s new nomenclature it gets the 45 TSI moniker. It is mated to a six sped dual clutch gearbox and gets Audi’s quattro all wheel drive system. The TT goes from 0 to 100 kph in a claimed 5.3 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kph.

The new TT gets all new LED headlamps and taillamps and you can also order the Matrix LED headlamps as an option. There is a large hexagonal front grille and larger air intakes as well. Interiors are all new with a 12.3 inch screen that acts as the instrument cluster to access the car infotainment system. New turbine shaped AC vents look cool and also have the climate control knobs integrated into them. The multifunctional flat bottom steering wheel comes with paddle shifters mounted behind it. 18 incn alloy wheels are standard.

Audi also offers a more powerful TT S variant that puts out 306 bhp but it is only available in the international markets.
