The new Hyundai Verna will be launched in India on August 22, 2017 and the company has revealed details on the India spec car.

The new Hyundai Verna features  ‘SUPER BODY STRUCTURE’ and is built with Advanced High Strength Steel,50% more than the previous gen car. The 5th gen Verna is built on the new K2 platform. It is 15 mm longer, 29 mm wider and wheelbase has increased by 10 mm translating to more space inside the cabin.

The new Verna will be powered a 1.6 litre Dual VTVT petrol and 1.6 litre U2 CRDi VGT diesel engine. While the petrol motor develops 123, horsepower, the diesel will churn out 128 horses. Both engines will come with the option of a 6 speed manual or a 6 speed automatic gearbox.As expected of a Hyundai, the Verna will come loaded with a host of features. These include 7 inch touchscreen infotainment, sunroof, projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, ventilated seats, voice recognition, rear curtain, push button start and 16 inch alloy wheels. The new Verna will come with safety features like 6 airbags, ABS along Electronic Stability Control as well.

Bookings for the Hyundai Verna are now open across all dealerships in India.
