The 2017 Mercedes GLA has been launched in India with prices starting at Rs. 30.65 lakh going up to Rs. 36.75 lakh. The compacat SUV was globally unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year.
On the exterior, the updated GLA gets a new front grille, new LED headlamps, resstyled front and rear bumpers, crystal look rear LED tail lamps and new 18 inch alloy wheels. The interior features ambient lighting in 12 colours with 5 dimming levels, 8 inch screen for the updated infotainment system, smartphone integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and design tweaks to the facia that includes the dashboard and centre console.
The GLA facelift comes with a choice of a petrol and diesel engine. The 2.0 litre turbo petrol develops 183 horsepower while the 2.1 litre diesel makes 136 horsepower in the GLA200d and 170 horsepower in the GLA220d. The engines are mated to a 7 speed dual clutch automatic gearbox and the GLA220d is equipped with 4MATIC all wheel drive system.
Safety features include 7 airbags, ESP, BAS, Downward Hill Regulation (GLA220d 4MATIC) and Attention Assist.
The new GLA comes in 5 colours; Mountain Grey, Cirrus White, Polar Silver Metallic and a new Canyon Beige exterior paint option.
