Though the bases design is clearly visible, the car looks like its come straight out of a Need For Speed game. The matte black finish looks sexy and there are lots of carbon fibre bits on the machine.

Honda has revealed any technical specs as yet but word is that the car will use an upgraded version 2.0 litre four cylinder turbo charged VTEC engine that currently does duty in the outgoing model. The new motor is expected to develop 306 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque.

“Type R epitomises Honda’s racing DNA, our challenging spirit and the highest levels of performance engineering. Coming to Europe during the second half of 2017, we’re now set to embark on the next chapter of the ‘race car for the road’,” Senior Vice President Philip Ross said.
