The 2018 Hyundai i20 facelift automatic has been spied testing on Indian roads. The giveaway is an Auto badge on the front fender below the indicator. Also, the wheel caps seen on the test mule indicate that the automatic will come in the Magna trim just like the current car.

The updated i20 is expected to come with a number of styling tweaks. Expect the car to sport a design similar to that of the new Verna and the Xcent facelift. A new single piece front grille with a Cascade effect is expected along with new bumpers and reworked headlamps.

Other expected changes include new design alloy wheels, restyled tail gate, new tail  lamps with LED inserts. The interior is expected to sport a similar look to that of the new Verna along with a new infotainment system.

Mexchanically, the updated i20 is expected to be powered by the same engines seen in the existing model. These include a 1.2 petrol( manual only), 1.4 diesel(manual only) and a 1.4 petrol (automatic only).

The Hyundai i20 rivals the Maruti Baleno and the Honda Jazz in India. The i20 facelift is expected to be revealed at the 2018 Auto Expo.
