2019 Nissan Kicks Ride and Handling

What is mighty impressive is the ride and handling. After, all the Kicks does have Duster DNA in its veins. The ride quality is fantastic and the Kicks will just glide over potholes and bad roads and it’s the same case at low speeds as well. Thanks to the 210 mm of ground clearance, going over the worst of roads is a piece of cake. There is nothing that will unsettle you inside the cabin. The Kicks goes around corners extremely well and there is excellent grip too. Body roll is minimal. The steering has good feedback and weighs up nicely. It does feel a little heavy at parking speeds though. High speed stability is good and brakes inspire a fair amount of confidence as well.

2019 Nissan Kicks Safety

The Nissan Kicks comes with dual airbags and ABS with EBD as standard across all variants that will go on sale. The top end model gets four airbags along with Hill Start Assist. There are ISOFIX mounts as well.

2019 Nissan Kicks Verdict

The Kicks is a well built and tough SUV that feels right for our road conditions. The interiors are premium and there is a long list of equipment on offer. The diesel has enough grunt and drives well. However, it misses out on an automatic and there are a few quality issues on the interior. Nissan also has to look into improving their after sales and service which has been average so far.  Pricing is going play an important factor and if Nissan manages to get that right and hit the sweet spot, the Kicks can prove to be a worthy contender in the segment and a good alternative to the Creta.
