The Mercedes E-Class E220d All Terrain has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 75 lakh all India ex showroom. The All Terrain is the first estate offering by the German car maker in India.

Power comes from a 2.0 litre four cylinder diesel engine that develops 194 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. This engine is the OM654 motor that is BS VI compliant and can run on BS IV fuel. It does the 0 to 100 kph dash in a claimed 8 seconds and has a top speed of 231 kph. The motor comes mated to Mercedes’ 9 speed 9G Tronic automatic gearbox and features the 4-Matic all wheel drive system.The drive modes also include an All Terrain mode and ground clearance can be increased by up to 35 mm.

On the exterior, the All Terrain features an aggressively styled front grille and 19 inch alloy wheels. The car all features body cladding all around to give it an aggressive stance. It has a longer rear overhang which gives it 640 litres of standard boot space. The rear seats also fold down in a 40:20:40 split to liberate 1,820 litres of space.

The interiors of the E220d All Terrain are similar to its sedan sibling. Features include three zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, air suspension, ambient lighting and electrically operated tail gate.

The Mercedes E220d All Terrain rivals the Volvo V90 Cross Country estate in India.
