The Abu Dhabi Police have recently added the limited edition Lykan Hypersport to their fleet.

While we have seen the cars that the Dubai Police have in their fleet, the police force of the UAE capital has gone all out and picked up the Lykan Hypersport which is one of the seven units ever made by W Motors, the company that makes the Lykan. The car is priced at a whopping 3.4 million US dollars and was recently seen in the Hollywood flick Furious 7.

This unique cop car is equipped with a special surveillance system that conists of cameras developed by Ekin.

Ekin, the company, says, “’Lykan HyperSport, one of the world’s fastest super cars is equipped with ekin Patrol, thus becomes the smartest car in the world and is transformed into a ‘Robocop’. ekin Patrol is capable of reading license plates of moving and stopping cars and monitors the speed of surrounding cars even on oncoming traffic. It is also capable of recognizing faces at the highest speeds. Further it stores all license plates, speeds and faces. Science fiction films come true with the help of ekin Patrol, which is designed for the policemen of the future.”

The Lykan Hypersport is powered by a 3.7 litre flat 6 Boxer powerplant that puts out 770 horsepower @7100 rpm with 960 Nm torque @4000 rpm. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 385 kph. The engine is mated to either a six speed sequential gearbox or a seven speed dual clutch PDK.
