Bentley has launched the Bentayga V8 in India at a price of Rs. 3.78 core ex showroom for the standard model excluding options.

Power comes from a 4.0 litre twin turbo V8 petrol engine that develops 549 horsepower and 770 Nm of torque. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in a claimed 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 290 kph. The engine is . mated to an eight speed automatic gearbox which sends power to all four wheels.

The V8 model looks nearly identical to its W12 brother. It gets 21 inch alloy wheels as standard with an option to go for small 20 inchers or larger 22 inch wheels. Carbon ceramic brakes are also available as an option. It also gets red brake callipers. There are subtle changes to the front grille which is now finished in black and chrome and twin quad exhausts at the rear.

Interior features include carbon fibre trims on the dashboard, doors and centre console. The steering wheel is finished in a combination of wood and leather. Cricket ball leather is also offered for the very first time in the Bentayga. The SUV can be ordered in four, five and seven seat configurations.

Other features include an 8 inch touch screen infotainment system, 60 GB hard drive, Park Assist, Night Vision and Heads Up display. Rear passengers get the Bentley Entertainment tablet which comprises of a removable 10.2 inch Android device with 4G Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. There are three sound systems on offer: Bentley Standard Audio, Bentley Signature Audio and Naim for Bentley Premium Audio.
