00 (7)Bentley has revealed the facelift version of its Mulsanne. It now comes with an extended model line up that comprises of the Mulsanne, Mulsanne Speed and Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase models.

The front end of the updated model has been completely redesigned. There are changes to the fenders, bonnet, radiator shell, grilles, lights and bumpers.  It gets a large stainless steel vertical-vane grille, that is 80 mm wider than before. There are Adaptive LED headlamps with increased night vision and chrome-capped headlamp washers. At the rear there are new tail lights in a B style shape and a redesigned bumper. The bumper has 26 mm wider lower corners and a strong light-catching feature line. 00 (8) Uploaded by graham_staceyOn the interior, there are handcrafted wood, leather and metal fittings,redesigned seats, new door trims and armrests, unique glass switchgear and a palette of 24 exquisite hide colours. There is also a new 8 inch display touchscreen infotainment system, 60 GB hard drive, Naim Premium Sound system with 20 speakers, 20 channels, a 2,200 watt amplifier and Super Tweeters.

The rear passengers get the the Bentley Entertainment Tablet which comprises of a pair of 10.2 inch Android devices (with 4G, WiFi and Bluetooth) integrated into the front seat head rests. The Android-powered tablets, which feature a Bentley-specific interface, have access to over a million Android Apps – such as Skype, Google Play and Spotify – and can be used away from the car, in the office and at home. Each tablet has 32 GB of on-board storage (expandable to 128 GB via a Micro-SDXC card), USB ports and a front-facing camera.

The Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase gets extra 250 mm of legroom over the standard car. There are airline-style electronic legrests which are integrated into the bases of the two rear seats. These extend outward and pivot, giving rear-seat passengers the choice between upright, relaxed and reclined seating positions. The centre console between the rear seats features USB ports, pen holders, cup holders and a glass-covered stowage area.

The Mulsanne is powered by a 6.75 litre V8 engine that develops 505 bhp and 1,020 Nm of torque. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in 5.1 seconds and has a top speed of 296 kph. The engine is mated to a ZF eight speed automatic gearbox. The engine also features cylinder decactivation and variavle cam phasing. The Mulsanne Speed comes with a more powerful version of the 6.75 litre twin turbo V8 that develops 530 bhp and 1,100 Nm torque. It does the 0 to 100 kph sprint in 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 305 kph. Transmission duties are handled by the ZF eight speed automatic gearbox. It comes with Exclusive 21” hand-finished ‘Speed’ alloys; dark tinted front and rear lamps; rifled sports exhausts; and Speed fender badging.

The updated Bentley Mulsanne model line up will make its debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
