Bentley has unveiled the Mulsanne Speed Blue Train special edition designed to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the ‘Blue Train’ race that was won by Bentley Chairman Captain Woolf Barnato in 1930. The car will debut at Techno Classica in Germany.

The ‘Blue Train; Limited Edition will be hand crafted by Bentley’s bespoke coach building division Mulliner and only 4 units will be built to be sold to customers in continental Europe. Each car features historical references to the original Speed Six car. It gets black alloy wheels and square mesh grille with patterns similar to that on the old Speed Six.

The fluting pattern in the door panels and the rear quarter inserts reminds one of the interior of Barnato’s original car. The dashboard comes with an expertly crafted veneer image of the original Bentley ‘Blue Train’ Speed Six and the treadplate plaques bear the wording ‘Blue Train 85 Years’.

The first production model to be sold will also come with a personalized hamper that contains exclusive Robbe & Berking silver plated cutlery, Haviland Limoges porcelain crockery, LINLEY crystal champagne flutes and a 100 percent Angora picnic rug, woven in Scotland.
