BMW has launched the 5 Series 520i petrol in India at a price of Rs. 54 lakh all India ex showroom. The BMW 520i will be sold as a fully imported CBU and in a single Luxury Line trim level.
The BMW 520i features a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder twin turbo petrol engine that develops 184 horsepower and 270 Nm of maximum torque that comes between 1,250 – 4,500 rpm. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in a claimed 7.9 seconds and has a top speed of 233 kph. The engine is mated to an eight-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox. Additionally it comes with Auto Start-Stop, ECO PRO mode, Brake-Energy Regeneration and 50:50 Weight Distribution.
Other features of the BMW 520i include multifunction instrument display, the next generation of BMW iDrive, with 25.9 cm color display, BMW Navigation system Professional with 3D maps, Harman Kardon Surround Sound System, BMW Apps, Park Distance Control, Rear View Camera and Connectivity through Bluetooth / USB devices.
The BMW 520i joins the 520d and 530d in the India portfolio of the 5 Series.
