Hyundai Tucson 4wd features

The Hyundai Tucson features an on demand 4wd system. The system automatically sends power to the rear wheels if it detects the front wheels losing traction. There is a  4WD Lock mode that can be activated by the driver. This allows a 50:50 torque split between the front and rear wheels. The system also features Advanced Traction Cornering Control (ATCC).

Mechanically there are no changes. The Tucson is power by a 2. litre diesel engine that develops 185 horsepower and 400 Nm torque. The engine is mated to a six speed automatic gearbox.

Additionally, there are updates to the 2wd GL models. They now come with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill Assist Control (HAC), Down Hill Brake Control (DBC) and brake assist.
