Honda’s new compact SUV the BR-V has been spied completely undisguised before its debut at the GIIAS 2015 in Indonesia. The BR-V is developed specially for Asian markets and will reach Indian shores next year. It will rival the likes of the Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and the recently launched Hyundai Creta.

The BR-V is based on the same platform as the Brio, Amaze and Jazz. As seen in the photos, it gets a large chrome grille with slim headlamps. It has an aggressive bumper with integrated fog lights and muscular wheel arches. It also gets larger alloy wheels and tyres. Ground clearance looks good enough for a compact SUV and it gets roof rails as well. The BR-V will available in a seven seater configuration.

Powering the BR-V will be the same 1.5 litre petrol and diesel engines that do duty in the Honda City. The motors are expected to be mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox. An automatic version is expected as well.

The BR-V is expected to be showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi.
