Jaguar F-Pace Interior

Step inside and you find yourself in familiar territory. If you’ve been in the XE and XF, you will feel right at home in the F-pace as well. All the signature Jaguar design elements are present. The ‘Riva Loop’ binds the dashboard and the door pads into one and looks uber cool as usual. The F-Pace gets a 12.3 inch screen for the instrument cluster with virtual dials that can change colour depending on the drive mode selected. There is a 10.2 inch touch screen for the Incontrol Touch Pro infotainment system.  The steering wheel feels nice to hold while an R logo reminds you of the variant you are driving. The quality of materials used in the cabin feel built to last though there some plastic bits here and there that feel cheap and don’t justify a car of this segment. The power window controls are located on the window sills just like in the Land Rovers. Not the ideal location to be in and they take some time getting used to. Other goodies include a 360 degree camera, panoramic sunroof, a fantastic 825 W Merdian sound system that is standard on the R-Sport and ambient mood lighting. The Prestige gets a standard rear view camera and you can upgrade to a 380 W Meridian system as well. The F-Pace also comes with the park assist function that can steer the car into a parallel or perpendicular parking space. It can also steer it out of a parallel parking slot. We loved the red and black leather upholstery that came in our R-Sport test car. The front seats are pretty large and will accommodate passengers with all kinds of frames comfortably. Support levels are good too. The seats come with 10 way electric adjust and while the R-Sport gets the memory function, the Prestige misses out on this feature.  The rear seats can be reclined electrically. There is ample knee room and headroom. Under thigh support is good too. The protruding rear centre console could deter a third passenger though. On the flip side, the rear occupants get their own temperature control for the AC.  The boot is quite large but the spare wheel cover intrudes into space. That said, the F-Pace gets a full size spare wheel.
