Jaguar XF Handling

The XF gets a double wishbone suspension setup, that it similar to that of the F-Type sports car and an integral link system at the rear. The ride is good and the car just glides over regular roads and undulations. It’s the sharper bumps that are felt inside the cabin giving a feeling of stiffness. The magic of the suspension comes to play when you show this leaping cat a set of twisties. It feels superbly balanced and corners with aplomb with loads of grip. Despite its size, the XF shrinks around you hiding its size extremely well. The electric power steering is well weighted and offers good feedback.

Jaguar XF Verdict

As a package, the new Jaguar XF is huge improvement over the car it replaces. It comes with a competent set of engines and while the interiors are spacious and there are a lot of features offered, the cabin quality could have been better. Also we would have liked if there were few more changes to the exterior in terms of design. Jaguar has played it safe.  That said, if you love driving yourself the XF petrol 25t is probably the best in the segment. Combined with excellent handling, it is quite tempting indeed. If not, the diesel should suffice just as well. The XF has received price cuts post the GST and now seems a more value proposition than it was earlier. Now when will that XF-R come did you say Jaguar?
