The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster has been revealed at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Only 800 examples of the supercar will be produced.

Like the Coupe, the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster is powered by the same 6.5 litre naturally aspirated V12 engine that develops 770 horsepower and 720 Nm torque. The engine comes mated to a 7 speed ISR gearbox and features all wheel drive. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in just 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of more than 350 kph.

The Aventador SVJ Roadster gets a carbon fibre roof with two panels that weigh 6 kg each. The panels can be removed via quick-release levers and then stored under the hood up front.

The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster has an active aerodynamics system which varies the “aero load to achieve high downforce or low drag.” This is done by adjusting the position of the front splitter and carbon fibre rear wing. The system can also be used to improve cornering. The right or left side of the wing can be adjusted to increase downforce and traction on the desired wheel.

Other features of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster include a digital instrument cluster, GPS navigation and Apple CarPlay compatibility, rear wheel steering, carbon ceramic brakes and a magneto rheological suspension.

Lamborghini recently launched the Aventador SVJ in India so expected the Roadster to reach our shores later this year.
