The Lamborghini Huracan Performante has been launched in India at a ex showroom price of Rs. 3.97 crore.

The Huracan Performante features the same 5.2 litre naturally aspirated engine as the standard Huracan Coupe but is tweaked to put out 640 horsepower and 600 Nm of maximum torque. The engine is mated to a reworked 7 speed dual clutch gearbox and comes with a Haldex permanent four-wheel-drive system. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of over 325 kph.

The Lamborghini Huracan Performante uses light weight construction comprising of aluminium and carbon fibre, that reduce the car’s weight by 40 kg. The flaps on the rear and front spoiler are actuated to save weight. The car is shod with 20inch alloy wheels and specially developed  Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres.

The engine bonnet in Forged Composite emphasizes its lightweight construction. Air intakes are integrated in the engine bonnet to provide air flow to the rear wing inner ducts and cooling air to the engine, with a Plexiglas cover over the engine inside. The V10 power plant’s manifold cover in bronze, a finish used in other special edition engines. At the rear there are high-mounted exhausts,  which create a more direct physical connection with the engine.  The rear diffuser in matt black is directly inspired by Lamborghini Super Trofeo race cars, in both appearance and function. There is a  trapezoid line from the bottom of the diffuser, also in Forged Composite.

The Lamborghini Huracan Perormante recently smashed the Nurburgring fastest production car record by doing a lap time of 6 min 52.01 seconds. It beat the Porsche 918 Spyder by 5 seconds.
