The LX450d feels virtually indestructible. It comes with lots of features, is pretty comfortable and is built to last. It has adequate power and the ability to go anywhere. And the biggest USP is the peace of mind you get with its bullet proof reliability. But it is the shocker of a price tag where everything goes wrong. At Rs. 2.32 crore, it is way more expensive than its LC200 cousin and also substantially pricier than the Range Rover Vogue V8 diesel, which is also more luxurious. On the flip side, the LX450d will most likely find a home in the garages of those who are previous or existing owners of cars from the marque and know what it stands for. They are those who believe that one cannot put a price on reliability and that is where the appeal of the LX450d lies.
