Mahindra TUV300 Plus Interior

The interior of TUV300 Plus is also unchanged. The dashboard layout is decent and the silver elements do stand out. However, plastics are hard at most places and fit and finish is not great either. But the interiors do feel that that they can take a lot of abuse. I am also not a fan of the power window switches being in the centre. In terms of equipment, you get a 7 inch touch screen infotainment system, navigation, steering mounted audio controls, parking sensors and power adjustable ORVMs. What you don’t get is auto climate control, Android Auto / Apple CarPlay and reverse camera and that too in this range topping P8 variant.

The seats feature beige faux leather upholstery which feels nice. The front seats also get useful armrests. The middle row bench is wide enough to seat three. There is good headroom and under thigh support but legroom is lacking, reason being the wheelbase is identical to the standard TUV300. Also there is no central armrest nor are there AC vents for the middle row occupants.

Access to the third row is via the tailgate and what you get is a pair of jump seats facing each other. While Mahindra claims that these can seat four people, reality is different. Ideally, only two people can sit facing each other and that too with knees touching. Also there are no seats belts and just like the second row, no AC vents either. The rear part is actually better put to use for the 696 litres of boot space with the jump seats folded up. Fold down the second row of seats and this goes up to 888 litres.
