The Mahindra XUV300 AMT is expected to launch and these are first pictures of the production model taken during a TVC shoot. This indicates that the launch is around the corner.

What distinguishes the AMT variant from the regular manual XUV300 is the prominent ‘Auto Shift’ badging on thr tailgate. The car spotted was a W8 variant and was a diesel so now it is confirmed the XUV300 diesel will get the AMT. It remains to be seen which other trim levels will be offered with an AMT. The petrol engine can also be expected to come with the AMT gearbox.

The Mahindra XUV300 comes with the choice of two engines, a 1.2 litre 3 cylinder turbo petrol and a 1.5 litre 4 cylinder diesel engine. The petrol engine makes 110 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque and the diesel is good for 115 horses with 300 Nm of torque.

Once launched, the Mahindra XUV300 AMT will rival the Tata Nexon AMT and Maruti Vitara Brezza AMT.
