Maserati

Legendary car maker Maserati is all set to officially re enter the Indian market. The marque that is now part of the Fiat and Alfa Romeo sub group is expected to open its first dealership in Mumbai in the coming months near the domestic airport. The dealership in all probability will be owned and run by the Galaxy group from Ahmedabad.

The first cars to be offered to Indian buyers could be the Maserati Gran Turismo and the Quattroporte four door sedan. It gets an updated V8 engine with twin turbos that puts out 530 bhp and is shared with the Ferrari 488 GTB but with some changes. Other engine options could include a 404bhp twin turbo V6 and a 271bhp V6 diesel, designed and made by diesel engine specialists VM Motori. The diesel Quattroporte will definitely find a lot of takers in our diesel loving country.
