Super car maker McLaren has confirmed a spider version of the 675LT and is slated for launch in 2016.
Mclaren had earlier said that the 675LT would only be made in coupe form but now they have changed their mind. The spider will also most likely be a limited edition like the coupe which saw only 500 units being made. The spider will also comer with the optional McLaren Club Sport pack bringing a fire extinguisher, titanium roll hoop and four-point harnesses.
Power comes from a 3.8 litre twin turbo V8 petrol engine that develops 675 horses and 700 Nm torque. Performance figures should be close to the coupe which does the 0 to 100 kph stint in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 330 kph.
