The Mercedes-AMG GT R and the GT Roadster have been launched in India at an ex showroom price of Rs. 2.23 crore and Rs. 2.19 crore respectively.

Mercedes-AMG GT R

The AMG GT R is said to be the road going version of the GTC race car. It is powered by a 4.0 litre V8 engine that develops 585 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 317 kph. The engine is mated to a seven speed dual clutch automatic gearbox with reworked ratios. AMG Dynamic Select offers three driving modes: Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus. The AMG GT R is the first AMG model to get rear wheel steering. Features invlude the new Panamericana front grille, AMG Performance exhaust, carbon fibre roof and 10 spoke forged alloy wheels.

Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster

The AMG GT Roadster is powered by a 4.0 litre V8 that puts out 476 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in 4 seconds and has a top speed of 302 kph. It comes with a fabric soft top roof that opens and closes in 11 seconds at speeds up to 50 kph. The engine is mated to a 7 speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.
