The Mercedes-AMG GT R and the GT Roadster are set to launch in India on August 21, 2017.

The AMG GT R is said to be the road going version of the GTC race car. It is powered by a 4.0 litre V8 engine that develops 585 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 317 kph. The engine is mated to a seven speed dual clutch automatic gearbox with reworked ratios. AMG Dynamic Select offers three driving modes: Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus. The AMG GT R is the first AMG model to get rear wheel steering.

The AMG GT Roadster is powered by a 4.0 litre V8 that puts out 469 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque.
