Mercedes Benz is expected to unveil the ML Class facelift in India soon. Going by Mercedes’ new nomenclature, the SUV will get the GLE moniker. While the overall design looks the same, there are a few changes made on the facelift model. The front looks similar to that on the current gen C-Class and S-Class. On the exterior, the GLE gets new LED headlamps and tail lamps along with twin rectangular exhaust pipes at the rear.

On the interior, there could be a choice of an assortment of trims and it will also get a new 7 inch free standing infotainment screen.

The Mercedes GLE is expected to come with the same two engines that do duty in the current ML in India.  These are the 2.1 litre diesel with 203 bhp in the GLE250d and the 3.0 litre V6 diesel with 255 bhp in the GLE350d.

Mercedes dealers in India have now started taking bookings for the GLE and you book one by paying a booking amount of Rs. 3 lakh.
