Indian racing driver Narain Karthikeyan has just got himself a brand new Porsche 911 GT3. The GT3 was launched in India in October last year.

The 911 GT3 is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0 litre flat six engine that develops 500 horsepower and 460 Nm of maximum torque. The engine is mated to a seven speed PDK gearbox and sends power to the rear wheels. The car goes from 0 to 100 kph in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 318 kph. A six speed manual gearbox is also available.

The 911 GT3 comes with rear axle steering as standard along with the adjustable damper system and dynamic engine mounts. The GT3 sits around 25 mm lower than the 911 Carrera S. It comes with an optional pneumatic lift system on the front axle, which lifts the front of the car by around 30 mm and at speeds of up to 50 km/h.

The interior features a GT sports steering wheel inspired from the 918 Spyder, sports seats with side bolsters, Alcantara upholstery. Other seat options include full bucket seats made from light carbon fibre-reinforced plastic in a carbon-weave finish. Standard features include the Porsche Communication Management (PCM), Connect Plus Module and the Track Precision app that serves as a track day tool to record lap times and other driving details on the smartphone.
