New 2017 Mercedes-AMG F1 car revealed at Silverstone
Formula 1 World Champion Mercedes-AMG has revealed their 2017 car at the Silverstone Circuit prior to launch.
Three-time world champion Lewis Hamilton turned a series of filming day laps of the British Grand Prix circuit on Thursday morning. The W08 to be driven by Hamilton and new teammate Valtteri Bottas features a small shark fin, but a larger version of it is expected to be tested later.Its nose is narrower and features a more rounded end compared to the thumb stub as seen on rivals Williams, Sauber and Renault’s new cars.
Mercedes has dominated F1 since 2014, when the championship switched to a V6 turbo-hybrid engine formula, winning 51 of the 59 grands prix.
