BMW has taken the wraps off the new M5 MotoGP Safety car. The new car will make it debut at the final round of the 2017 MotoGP Championship at Valencia.

The new M5 Safety car will be used during the entire 2018 MotoGP season and will replace the current M2 Coupe Safety Car.

2018 BMW M5 MotoGP Safety Car features

The new M5 Safety car comes loaded with all the M Performance parts possible. These include carbon fiber side skirts, rear diffuser, rear spoiler, front kidney grille and wing mirror caps. The car also features a titanium M Performance exhaust with carbon fiber tips, M4 GTS seats and a unique front splitter.

Other features include an LED light bar on the roof, blue LED lights in the front grille and strobes in the headlamps.

2018 BMW M5 MotoGP Safety Car Engine

The new M5 is powered by a 4.4 litre twin turbo V8 engine that develops 600 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. It comes equipped with the  M xDrive all wheel drive system and goes from 0 to 100 kph in just 3.4 seconds.
