The new BMW 8-Series concept has been revealed ahead of its debut at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. The car maker says the concept is a “luxurious sports car which embodies both unadulterated dynamics and modern luxury.”

The 8-Series concept features a low stance with a two door layout. The aggressive front end features a  large twin-kidney grille. The front splitter is finished in carbon fibre. The car gets lazer headlamps and the front bumper comes with large air intakes. Other features include flared wheel arches, a sloping roof line along with 21 inch light weight alloy wheels. The rear featurse slim tail lamps, a carbon fibre rear diffuser along with trapezoidal tailpipes for the dual exhaust system.

The interior features a minimalist approach with a driver focused layout. The sports seats come with leather upholstery and a carbon fibre shell. The steering wheel gets hand polished aluminium spokes along with paddle shifters.Te concept gets a digital instrument cluster and a large screen for the iDrive infotainment system. The cabin gets a lot of carbon fibre trims as well.

BMW hasnt revealed any info about the engines that will power the production version of the new 8-Series but we expect a mix of six and eight cylinder petrol motors to make it to the engine bay.

BMW Chairman Harald Krüger said, “The forthcoming BMW 8-Series Coupe will demonstrate that razor-sharp dynamics and modern luxury can go hand-in-hand. This will be the next model in the expansion of our luxury-car offering and will raise the benchmark for coupes in the segment. In the process, we will strengthen our claim to leadership in the luxury class.”
