2018-bmw-m5-0The seventh generation BMW 5-Series sedan was officially unveiled a couple of days ago. The new car codenamed G30 will obviously feature an M5 variant in the model line up soon.

Rendering artist X-Tomi has come up with this rendering image to showcase what the next gen BMW M5 could look like.

As always the range topping model gets aggressive styling with a sport front bumper combined with larger air intakes. There are extended side skirts and a new rear bumper as well. The new M5 will come with quad exhausts. Expect the usual M5 badges on the grille and fenders to distinguish it from the standard car. Also see are large alloy wheels.

The new BMW is expected to come with a retuned version of the 4.4 litre twin turbo V8 petrol engine that will develop atleast 600 horsepower if not more. Power will be sent to the rear wheels via a seven speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. All wheel drive is expected to be available as an option on the M5 for the first time.

A 0 to 100 kph timing of mid 3 second range is expected from the new sports sedan. The all new BMW is expected somewhere around end 2017.
