Here is a rendering of what the next BMW M5 could look like. This rendering has been done by Rm Design and is based on the next generation 5 Series (G30).

While the M5 will come in a rear wheel drive layout as standard, it is likely to be offered with an X-Drive all wheel drive system as well. Hence note the XDrive badge on the boot of this rendering. Power should be from the same 4.4 litre twin turbo V8 engine that sits in the current gen car but with more than 600 horsepower on tap. The new M5 will also be lighter thanks to the extensive use of carbon fibre and aluminium.

The new M5 could hit roads in late 2016.
