Renault is set to launch an automatic variant of the petrol Duster soon. While the diesel Duster features a 6 speed AMT gearbox, the petrol version will feature a CVT gearbox.

The Duster petrol manual is powered by a 1.6 litre engine that develops 104 horsepower. The automatic version will come with a 1.5 litre motor that develops 101 horsepower and 134 Nm of torque. This is the same engine gearbox combination that is seen in the Renault Scala CVT.

The Duster petrol CVT will be sold only in the RxS trime level. The manual is available in the mid-level RxE and RxL trims as well.

The Duster petrol CVT will rival the Creta petrol automatic and the Honda BR-V petrol automatic.
