The Skoda Kodiaq SUV has been launched in India at Rs. 34.49 lakh all India ex showroom. It is available in a single Style variant only.

The Skoda Kodiaq is powered by a 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine that develops 150 horsepower and 340 Nm of maximum torque. The engine comes mated to a 7 speed DSG automatic gearbox and has 4×4 as standard.The Kodiaq is the first seven seater SUV in the 120 year history of the Czech car maker. The name takes inspiration from an Alaskan bear called Kodiak. It is based on the MQB platform, which also the base for the Superb and Octavia sedans. It is 4,697 mm long, 1,882 mm wide and 1,676 mm tall (including roof rails);with a wheelbase of 2,791 mm. Ground clearance is 188 mm. Standard boot space is 270 litres that expands to 630 litres with the third row of seats folded and 2005 litres with the second row folded.  The Kodiaq comes with a host of features that include full LED headlamps and tail lamps, 18 inch Trinity alloy wheels powered tail gate,rain sensing wipers, door protectors that automatically pop out when doors are opened and hands free parking.

On the interior, it comes with electrically adjustable front seats, adjustable second row seats, 10 colour interior ambient lighting, 12 speaker Canton sound system, 8 inch touch screen infotainment with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Navigation.

The Kodiaq comes in four colours: Moon White, Lava Blue, Quartz Grey and Magic Black.

Key rivals to the Kodiaq include the Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour.
