The Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo was launched internationally in 2015 and is now slated for a debut in India.

The Indian spec Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo will be based on the facelift model that is sold here. It will features a red exterior paint shade, an all black interior, black grille and ORVMs, black 16 inch alloy wheels and a black boot spoiler.

On the interior, the car is expected to get faux carbon fibre trims on the dashboard, flat bottom steering wheel, aluminium scuff plates, unique floor mats and upholstery along with red stitching for the gear knob and sporty pedals.

Mechanically, the car will remain unchanged. It will powered by the same recently launched 1.5 litre diesel engine that makes 110 horsepower and a 1.6 litre petrol motor. Both engines will come with manual and automatic transmissions. While the petrol will get a torque converter unit, the diesel will feature a DSG gearbox.

The Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo is expected to cost Rs. 30,000 than the standard Rapid sedan. Competition for the Skoda Rapid includes theHonda City, the Volkswagen Vento, Hyundai Verna and the Maruti Ciaz.
