The interiors of Tata’s new upcoming hatchback have been caught on camera for the very first time. The 45X concept was unveiled earlier this year at the 2018 Auto Expo.

The design of the interiors is based on Tata Motor’s new Impact Design 2.0 philosophy. What is seen in the spy shots is a large screen placed on top of the dashboard in the centre of the dashboard. Expect the new hatchback to come with Tata’s new range of infotainment systems when the car is launched.

Other elements seen is an instrument cluster with analog dials, a T shaped centre console and large AC vents below the screen. Tata Motors had earlier revealed that there will be various colour combinations and customisations on offer. The car maker also mentioned that high quality materials would be used throughout. While the spy pics show an all black interior, a two tone option could make it into the final production car since Indian buyers do love their beiges.

As far as engines go, the 45X by more powerful versions of the 1.2 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel engines that are currently doing duty in the Nexon compact SUV. Gearbox options could include a six sped manual and a dual clutch unit that is said to be under development.

The new hatchback is expected to launch in the second half of 2019 and will rival the Maruti Baleno and the Hyundai i20.
