Tata Motors is all set to launch a special edition Hexa Downtown Urban Edition. This edition will come with a number of cosmetic changes and additional equipment.

Tata Hexa Downtown Urban Edition features

The first thing to distiguish the new model will be the Urban Bronze exterior colour. Additionally it will be offered with a choice of two packages: Absolute and Indulge. Both these packages will feature chrome treatment on the headlamp and tail lamp surrounds, the sides and the ORVMs. Other features include Downtown badges, side steps, wireless smartphone charging, a carpet set and a car care kit. The XE, XM and XMA variants will get tan seat covers as part of the Absolute package while the Indulge will add new 16 inch alloy wheels. The range topping XT and XTA  variants with the Indulge package will feature two Blaupunkt 10.1-inch infotainment screens for the rear and a dashboard mounted heads-up display providing speed limit alerts, battery voltage and tyre pressure info.

Tata Hexa Downtown Urban Edition engine

Mechanically the Hexa Downtown Urban Edition is identical to the standard Hexa. Power comes from a 2.2 litre four cylinder diesel engine developing 150 horsepower and 320 Nm torque in the entry level XE variant and 156 horses and 400 Nm in the other variants. The engine comes mated to a five speed manual gearbox in the XE while the XM and XT comes with the choice of wither a six speed manual or six speed automatic gearbox. The top end XT manual also gets optional four wheel drive.
