BMW 320i launched at Rs. 36.90 lakh
The BMW 3 Series facelift was launched in January this year and the company has now introduced the petrol engined 320i to the model lineup.
With petrol cars coming into the limelight, especially after diesel being in the news for wrong reasons, this move was expected. The 320i is currently available as a CBU unlike its diesel sibling, the 320d which is locally produced in India. The 320i comes in two trim levels: Prestige for Rs. 36.90 lakhs and Luxury Line for Rs. 42.70 lakh (ex showroom Delhi).
The BMW 320i is powered by a 2.0 litre four cylinder twin turbo petrol motor that develops 184 bhp and 270 Nm of torque. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in claimed 7.3 seconds and comes mated to an eight speed automatic gearbox. The Luxury line comes with paddle shifters on the steering wheel.
The BMW 320i gets standard features such as LED headlamps, dual zone climate control, ambient lighting, electric adjust for front seats, heated mirrors with memory, iDrive infotainment system with 6.5 inch screen and 16 inch alloy wheels.
The Luxury Line additionally gets Sport+ drive mode, an 8.8-inch iDrive touch infotainment system with handwriting recognition and navigation, an electric sunroof, a 205 Watt sound system and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The BMW 320i was last seen in the previous gen E90 while a 328i petrol was available in the pre facelift F30 and was discontinued later.The BMW 320i will rival the Mercedes C200 an the Jaguar XE in the Indian market.
The petrol powered 5 Series 520i is also expected to launch soon.
