The Mini Clubman has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 37. 90 lakh (ex showroom all India). The Clubman will be sold as a fully imported CBU. The Min Clubman is powered by 2.0 litre twin turbo petrol engine that develops 192 horsepower 280 Nm torque that comes in at 1250 rpm. The engine is mated to an 8 speed Steptronic automatic gearbox. The Clubman goes from 0 to 100 kph in 7.2 seconds and has a top speed of 228 kph. The Clubman is offered in India in only the ‘S’ trim level.
Features include LED headlamps and tail lamps, touch screen infotainment system, drive modes, 17 inch alloy wheels, auto climate control, sports seats, rear parking sensors, airbags, ABS, Cornering Brake Control, Brake Assist and Stability Control. As with all Minis, the Clubman also gets a huge list of options to customize the car.The Clubman features a unique spilt two door boot layout which is popularly known as ‘barn doors’. This technically makes the car a six door. The boot can be opened via the remote or by waving the foot under the rear bumper. Standard boot space stands at 360 litres that can go up to 1250 litres by folding the rear seats down.
India gets the second generation Clubman. Like the Mini hatch and convertible, the Clubman is also based on Mini’s new ULK platform.
