I have driven this engine is lower state of tune in the Thar, but in the XUV700, its just something else.

You would be hard pressed to tell that this is the interior of a Made in India car once you get in. The finish feels very European and the light beige treatment gives the cabin a very airy feel. I personally am not a beige fan though, and would have loved an all black option. The soft touch surfaces on the dashboard and piano black and silver bits give a premium feel. The biggest highlight of the cabin are the twin 10.25 inch touchscreens for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, a first in an India car. Super crisp graphics and easy to use. There’s electric adjust and memory for the driver’s seat and it even slides back for easy ingress and egress.  Have a fetish for sunroofs? Mahindra gives you the ‘Sky Roof’, the largest panoramic sunroof in the segment. The seats themselves are comfortable but the second row seat doesn’t slide forward and that limits space for the third row. Other goodies like dual zone climate control, wireless charging pad, ports for charging etc. add to the extensive features list of the XUV700. And if you are an audiophile, you have an awesome 12 speaker Sony 3D sound system. It is easily the one of the best I’ve heard so far in an Indian car.  Thanks to Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE), een compressed audio sounds nice. That said, there are no ventilated seats and the omission of an auto dimming mirror in a flagship model is quite surprising.

The XUV700 is the first Mahindra model to get the Adrenox system which comes with a host of connected car features. It is paired with Alexa for voice commands as well. There’s so much to play with here and you could spend hours exploring the system. There are built in apps, a 360 degree camera, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, navigation and the works. The four cameras can also record your drive which can later be transferred to a computer. Adrenox will be a part of many Mahindra models in the future and is now also featured on the new Scorpio-N.
