Things change in the EQS when you hit the accelerator hard. The 855 Nm hits you like bullet and you get pushed back into the seat.

Mercedes-Benz EQS580 Interior

The EQS is a low car and getting in will need you to bend a bit especially if you are tall. Once you sit inside the first thing that catches your eye is the massive MBUX Hyperscreen that stretches across the dashboard. It gives you feeling of being inside a sci-fi space ship for sure. And as expected it is loaded with tech. Apart from the usual MBUX features, it gets 3D maps that work well, it even prompts you on the road surface ahead. For eg: the car alerted me to tap on the screen to raise the suspension after detecting a speed breaker ahead. There are multiple gesture controls and you can even play games like Tetris if you are sitting in traffic. Mind you these will only work when you are in Park mode. There are LED warning lights in the doors that warn you of upcoming traffic while opening them. The LED lights also display the flow of energy between the battery and the wheel. Other features include a Burmester sound system and a massive panoramic sunroof.

The seats are very comfortable and get every feature that you would expect like cooling and massage function. The soft pillows on the headrests are very much there and my favourite features of Mercedes’ flagship luxury sedans. The rear is where most owners of the EQS will be. The seats are a great place to be in with the back rest well set. There is loads of legroom and the EQS won’t give you a reason to complain on that front. Headroom is also sufficient even for tall people. You get a Samsung tablet in the rear arm rest that can be used to operate MBUX functions. While three passengers can be accommodated, two in comfort with that arm rest down is what I would recommend.  The Mercedes Me app can store upto 800 parameters on your personalized driving profile. You can use face recognition or even fingerprint to activate your profile.
