The 2017 Range Rover Evoque has been launched in India at Rs. 49.10 lakh ex showroom Delhi. It is the first Land Rover model in India to get the Ingenium diesel engine.
The 2.0 litre Ingenium engine is 20 kg lighter than previous generation engines. It develops 177 horsepower and features the latest generation variable geometry turbocharger that maximises peak power for low-speed torque. The engine is mated to a 9 speed automatic gearbox and comes with four wheel drive. Land Rover will also offer a 2.0 litre petrol engine in the 2017 Evoque starting January 2017. The 2017 Evoque also gets the Torque Vectoring by Braking system as standard. This system constantly balances the distribution of torque between all the wheels to improve grip and steering whether on or off-road.
The exterior features Adaptive LED headlamps which enable light beams to be automatically aligned with steering inputs and follow curves in the road. The Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) also double up as the directional indicator.
On the interior, the 2017 Range Rover Evoque gets Oxford leather seats as standard on HSE and HSE Dynamic variants. There is a new 10 inch touch screen for the updated InControl Touch Pro infotainment system. This is standard equipment on the HSE and HSE Dynamic trims while the lower trim models get an 8 inch screen. Other features include Powered Gesture tail gate, Surround Camera, 825 W Meridian Surround Sound System, and Heads Up display.
Along with the 2017 update Land Rover is also offering the Evoque Ember Special Edition in India. The Ember Edition is based on the HSE Dynamic variant and features a Firenze Red roof to contrast the Santorini Black body colour. On the interior, it gets Ebony black seats with a contrasting Pimento red stitch along with other features.
