Indians are a lot that love their SUVs. Be it the mass market or the high end of the spectrum. Which brings us to the Mercedes-Benz GLS. This full sized luxo SUV has been a hot seller in the Indian market. Thanks to its size and ability to ferry up to 7 occupants cocooned in luxury. To spice up things a bit, Mercedes has given this generation of the GLS a mid life refresh and the changes are more than skin deep. Here are my thoughts after spending a few days with it.
2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS Exterior
There is no denying that the GLS has immense street presence. As someone who loves big SUV, this one is totally up my alley. Upfront there’s an oversized three pointed flanked by a new grille with four thick horizontal slats. There are new LED headlamps along with a restyled front bumper. The side profile is unchanged but the 21 inch alloy wheels look smart and I quite like the design. At the rear you get new design elements in the tail lamps to go with the current Mercedes design philosophy. Overall these changes do add to the appeal of an already good looking SUV.
