The 2018 Honda Amaze has recorded sales of over 30,000 units in just three months of its launch. It is the highest sales recorded by any new Honda model in the car maker’s 20 year history in India. The new Amaze has helped Honda Car India to achieve an overall cumulative sales growth of 12.5% from April – July 2018.

a 1.2 litre petrol engine putting out 90 horsepower and a 1.5 litre i-dtec diesel engine developing 100 horsepower. Both engines are offered with either a manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. However the diesel auto variants have 20 horsepower and 40 Nm less torque.

Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors standard across all variants. The new Amaze is available in 5 exterior colour options. There will be 4 trim levels on offer: E, S, V and VX. The CVT will only be available in S V level trims.

The new Amaze gets a standard warranty of 3 years/ unlimited kms. There is 4th and 5th year extended warranty also available for unlimited kms. Service intervals are 1 year or 10,000 kms.

Honda says that the petrol CVT and diesel CVT have accounted for more than 30% of total Amaze sales since launch.

The new Honda Amaze rivals the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Xcent and the Volkswagen Ameo in the Indian market.
