The all new 2019 BMW 3-Series has been spotted on road in Mumbai prior to the India launch slated for August 21, 2019.

The new 3-Series codenamed G20 has been spotted wearing a unique purple livery with a prominent #3rill on the doors denoting the official hashtag for the launch. The variant spotted was the 330i M-Sport which will be powered by a 2.0 litre petrol turbo engine that is likely to put out 258 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The other model on offer will be the 320d that will come with a 2.0 litre turbo diesel engine good for 190 hp and 400 Nm. Both engines will be mated to an eight speed automatic gearbox sending power to the rear wheels.

The BMW 3-Series is lighter and bigger than its predecessor. It is based on the Cluster Architecture (CLAR) platform that also underpins the 5-Series and 7-Series sedans. Features on the new 3-Series will include all LED headlamps, 8.8 inch touchscreen for the infotainment system with a 10.25 inch screen as an option, three zone climate control, latest iDrive, gesture control and digital instrument cluster.

The 2019 BMW 3-Series will rival the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4, Jaguar XE and the upcoming new Volvo S60.
