Jeep Compass Black Shark Edition Ride, handling & safety:

Ride quality as expected is fantastic. The Compass just flies over undulations and bad roads. The suspension has a stiff feel at low speeds but that’s not a bother as it is compensated with an excellent driving experience. And that goes for the handing too.

Safety features include ABS & EBD, ESC, hydraulic brake assist, hill start assist and all-speed traction control, rear seat reminder alert, rain brake assist, electronic brake prefill and electronic roll-over mitigation.

The updated Compass is offered in 7 colours – Pearl White, Diamond Black, Techno Metallic Green, Exotica Red, Grigio Magnesio, Grey, Minimal Grey and Galaxy Blue.

Jeep Compass Black Shark Edition Verdict:

The Compass with this update broadens the appeal of the SUV. No 4×4 means a downward revision in price and that makes it a better proposition. It retains its virtues of a strong performing diesel engine, handling prowess and tank like build. The Compass needed a shot in the arm to move things forward into the new year and this seems to be exactly what the doctor ordered. Totally worth having at the top of your SUV buying shopping list.
