lamborghini-huracan-rear-wheel-drive-spyder-6The Lamborghini Huracan rear wheel drive Spyder has been revealed at the LA Motor Show 2016. The new model however, does not get the LP580-2 monicker. It carries a more descriptive name.

The Lamborghini Huracan rear wheel drive Spyder features the same 5.2 litre naturally aspirated V10 engine that does duty in the other Huracan models. It develops 580 horsepower and 540 Nm of torque. It goes from 0 to 100 in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 319 kph. The engine is mated to a 7 speed dual clutch gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels. The V10 engine features cylinder deactivation, where five of the ten cylinders are temporarily deactivated by switching off one cylinder bank when not required.lamborghini-huracan-rear-wheel-drive-spyder-7 lamborghini-huracan-rear-wheel-drive-spyder-4 lamborghini-huracan-rear-wheel-drive-spyder-3The car gets a restyled front and rear end. It gets larger front air intakes that direct cooling air and headwind to increase down pressure on the front axle. It features Pirelli PZero tyres that have specially been developed for the Huracan rear wheel drive Spyder. The tyres are shod onto 19 inch Kari alloy wheels. There are specially contoured steel brakes with aluminum brake disc pots that assist in weight reduction and improved cooling. The interior features features the latest Lamborghini Infotainment System II with a 12.3 inch hi-res TFT instrument panel.lamborghini-huracan-rear-wheel-drive-spyder-5The Huracan rear wheel drive Spyder comes with a fabric soft top that can be opened or closed in just 17 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h. Expect the car to hit Indian roads sometime later in the year. Lamborghini currently offers the Huracan LP610-4 coupe and spyder and the LP580-2 coupe in India.
