Lexus UX300e Interior

Step inside and you immediately get the Lexus vibes. The dark interiors with the layered dashboard sets the mood for what’s to come. There is high quality material everywhere you look. Right from the soft touch material on the top of the dashboard to the piano black finish surfaces and the contrast stitching. And I loved the face that there are physical buttons for the various functions rather than a giant screen. The instrument cluster is semi digital and one cool thing that I liked is the analogue fuel guage style meter for the battery range. What is a downer is that the 10.3 inch infotainment screen is not a touch unit and the track pad to operate it is not the easiest to use and can get frustrating. Virtually impossible to use when you are driving all the more. Also the graphics and user interface feel outdated. But what due like is the awesome Mark Levinson sounds system. It will surely keep the audiophile in you happy.

The space on the inside is at a premium though. The front seats offer great support and are comfortable. They also have a good contour and hold you in place well. Things are tight at the rear though. Because of the batter placement, the floor is high leaving you sitting with your knees slightly up. Legroom is also not great, while headroom will be an issue for taller occupants. You get a 300 litre boot which feels small for car this size.
