After a long wait, Indian car lovers will finally be able to get their hands on a Mclaren as the iconic British marque is planning to enter the country in 2018.

The Mclaren line up comprises of cars like the 540C, 570 Coupe, Spider and GT, 650S, 675 LT and the hot new 720S. The company also made the P1 supercar that was sold out in 2013.Mclaren is banking on the entry level model the 540C to bring in the sales. The car is expected to sport an Rs. 2 crore ex showroom price tag. Mclaren is initially targeting 10 cars a year in terms of sales.

The super car market in India already has the presence of big names such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Maserati and Porsche. Lamborghini is currently leading the pack with the Huracan selling in good numbers.

Mclaren has recently gained popularity in India with two foreign registered cars being driven around by their Indian owners in Bengaluru and Mumbai. These cars however are left hand drive and will leave the country in due course of time.

McLaren currently has a total of 79 sales and service outlets spreading over Asia, Europe, Middle East, Africa, North America, and Latin America.
