German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz has introduced the first BSVI fuel complaint vehicle in India. This move comes a full 2 years before the regulations come into place. The S-Class facelift was also showcased during the event.

The new engine is also compliant with BSIV fuel. It features drastic reduction in NOx emissions level by 68%, while the PM limit will be reduced by a substantial 82%. Mercedes will launch the BSVI petrol engine in the Maybach S560 and the diesel engine in the S-Class facelift. Both models will be launched later this year. Both cars also get ARAI certificate as ‘Indian Crash Norm Compliant’ vehicles. These are the ‘First BS VI vehicles’ with the lowest ever emission for an Made in India, Internal Combustion Engine.

Mercedes will be launching the Maybach S650 at the upcoming Auto Expo 2018. The car maker will also showcase the E-Class All Terrain, EQ Electric SUV Concept along with other various models at the Expo.
